Size & Fit

A familiar letter size can mean different things in different styles. Our product charts show the measurements supplied for that individual piece, with inches first. Read them before selecting a size.

Body and garment measurements are different

A body measurement is taken around you. A garment measurement describes the clothing itself. The difference between them is ease: the extra space that lets you move or wear another layer. A loose shirt needs more ease than a fitted cardigan, so do not match your body measurement directly to a garment’s bust value.

Use a piece you already like

Lay a similar garment flat without pulling the fabric. Measure across the chest or hip and double that width when the chart uses a circumference. Measure the length from the shoulder to the hem. For pants, compare the waistband, hip and outside leg length; outside length is not the inseam.

Read the style, then the chart

Notice whether the cut is loose, regular or fitted. A size marked One Size has one set of dimensions; it does not mean it fits every body. A US size reference is shown only when it is supplied for that particular style, and remains a starting point rather than a promise.

Allow about 0.4–1.2 in of variation from manual measurements. If a number matters to your choice, contact us before ordering. Our step-by-step measuring guide explains where to place the tape.

When your piece arrives

Try it indoors with the layers you plan to wear. Keep packaging and tags until you decide. If the fit is not right, our 30-day return policy explains the next step.
